Sabal Ridge WRE Project Review
The Natural Resources Conservation Services (NRCS-Gainesville) of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) requested a review of Sabal Ridge property and the NRCS Preliminary Wetlands Reserve Plan of Operations (WRPO) to evaluate if the goal of restoration of the historic hydrology of the site is achievable.

Specifics
Research and review of publicly available permitting records information and data for the site such as LiDAR, and historical aerials to ensure NRCS has the most recent and highest quality data from which to plan and design the restoration and to verify the proposed easement is restorable without impact to neighboring landowners.
LAGO performed in-place corroboration of existing drainage features, dimensions, and inverted elevations. Provided NRCS recommendations for additional survey information that should be gathered to properly model the project and design the planned works of improvement.
LAGO Recommended the appropriate modeling approach including associated maps to help clearly outline the proposed model. LAGO developed a preliminary ICPR model containing the project area, that serve to test some concepts such as defining model domain, boundary conditions, and the simulation period. The Report included the additional data that would need to be gathered to accurately model the site.
