MODFLOW Modeling to Support Geotechnical Study
LAGO provided groundwater modeling support to the geotechnical studies conducted by Terracon Consultants, Inc. The project area was close to two ponds and a canal, which are maintained at different control elevations. The project location in relation to the water bodies required the development of a 3-dimensional (3D) MODFLOW model to determine the water table elevation in the area for the end purpose of designing drainage improvements that will not lower the groundwater level below existing conditions.

Specifics
LAGO developed a MODFLOW model for the area and estimated water table elevation contour lines for two sets of hydraulic conductivity values, which were provided to the geotechnical experts at Terracon.
